The Texas Hill Country Fly Fishers centered in the Fredericksburg-Kerrville region of Texas is more than 122 fly fishers of all skill levels from all walks of life and all age groups.   Connect you with friendly people who know how to enjoy fly fishing Texas Hill Country creeks, ponds, and rivers.  As conservationists, we are a charter chapter of Fly Fishers International and FFI's Texas Council.

THCFF's Mentoring Program

The Club's mentoring program is open to everyone wanting to jumpstart their fly fishing adventure.

Fly Fishing, Equipment Basics, Traditional Casting, Tenkara Style, Knots, Tying, Fish Location, and Fly Presentation.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF)

FLY TYING MEETINGS:

  • Kerrville:  Tuesday 5:00-7:30 -- Dietert Center at 451 Guadalupe St, Kerrville Tx.
  • Fredericksburg:  Wednesday 2:00-5:00 at VFW Hall, 710 S. Washington St, Fredericksburg Tx.
  • Kerrville 2nd Mon: Convalescent Living Center, VA Hospital.

Volunteers needed to help support the program's growth.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans.  Our program provides basic fly fishing, fly casting, fly tying and rod building classes for participants whose skills range from beginners who have never fished before, to those with prior fly fishing and tying experience.

Oktoberfisch™ 2024

Planning is in the works

Oktoberfisch™ is the THCFF's annual fly fishing celebration and festival. This year Oktoberfisch will be held in Kerrville Texas on the banks of the Guadalupe River.

Attendees have fun in a wholesome learning environment that is geared for fly fishers of all skill levels.  Of course, Oktoberfisch is family and learning oriented.
