The Bob-Henke Measure 2 Tourney is a timed team fishing event held on the Club's Crabapple Lease. Teams consist of 2 fly fishers. Teams rotate to the next of 3 beats every 45 minutes along a set course until all teams have fished all beats.
Each single fly fisher may record up to two fish (the decision to record must be made at the time of measurement) until the team has recorded up to 4 fish total or fishing time elapses.
The team with the most total inches at the end of the day, wins. There are awards for 1st and 2nd.

The Tourney consists of 9 teams of two fishermen, up to 18 fishermen. 3 Teams allowed per start time, so there are up to three start times depending on number of teams entered.
Mar 16, 2024: Registration begins at 8:30 AM; tournament (fishing) clock begins promptly at 9 AM with start time 1.
Prior to contest START, a random drawing will determine which 3 available teams will start at 9:00 am. Then prior to the 11:45 start, a second random drawing will determine the teams for Start 2. A third START TIME will be at 2:30pm for late-arriving 3 teams.
Each team will have up to 2 hours 15 minutes fishing time (about 45min fishing at each beat). When a fly fisher has recorded two fish - they must stop fishing, however their teammate continues fishing until he also has caught two fish or time elapses. The team with the most total inches wins. Thus, four 12 inch fish beat two 22 inch fish.
Entry fee is $30.00 per person, (Bring your own lunch, snacks, or something to share).
- Each 2 person Team must include at least 1 THCFF Club Member.
- 2024 Lease Fishing Rules will apply to the tournament.
- You must have a valid Texas Fishing License to fish.
- If you do not have a teammate at the time of registration we will assign you one. Teams are two persons. This is a team event.

Not Fishing? - Be a Contest Fishing Judge!
We need 3 morning session judges and 3 afternoon session judges. This person will measure all fish caught in their fishing area.
Perfect job for a friend or family person who is not fishing.
