REGULATIONS for all THCFF LEASE MEMBERS
Regulation Changes: Members will receive an email regarding changes and important dates. It is the responsibility of all leaseholders to stay informed and respond accordingly.
The THCFF Fish Manager or board may revoke a lease member's lease access privileges for blatantly disrespecting others or not following lease rules or rules of good conduct.
1. ACCESS: Only THCFF leaseholders and accompanied guests may fish the THCFF Trout Leases. You must have a valid Texas Fishing License to fish any THCFF Lease. Lease Access is granted solely for day fishing. Leases close 30 minutes after sundown. The Trout lease season runs from trout stocking to about April 30, 2025. There may be extended fishing dates for Tecaboca depending on conditions.
2. Lease Members must abide by the laws and rules of the State of Texas, TPWD, THCFF, and Landowners. No pet animals, or camping on a lease property. Surveillance Cameras monitor lease activity.
3. SIGN-IN /SIGN-OUT
a. PRINT CLEARLY. POOR WRITING IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR MISTUNDERSTANDINGS.
b. ONLY FISH IN THE BEATS WHERE YOU ARE SIGNED IN!
i. CRABAPPLE – THE 7 FISHING AREAS ARE MARKED WITH SIGNAGE.
ii. TECABOCA – THE 5 FISHING AREAS, CLEARLY MARKED WITH SIGNAGE.
c. Sign-ins are valid for ½ days—MORNING OR AFTERNOON. To fish a full day, you must sign in twice: once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
RULES OF CONDUCT for all THCFF LEASE MEMBERS
1. SHOW FULL RESPECT:
a. Introduce yourself with a friendly wave and show off your wristband, indicating you belong on the lease.
b. We emphasize stream etiquette, especially for our less mobile members and those fishing with children, to allow them to fish in the more accessible areas.
c. If you are fishing, move if someone less mobile or with children shows up. The most accessible fishing areas are Tecaboca- Area #1 and Crabapple- Upper Area #2.
2. PARKING:
a. Parking is allowed only in designated lease parking areas.
b. There will be two auto parking areas at Crabapple and one at Tecaboca.
c. The maximum number of cars allowed to park is posted at each parking area.
3. TRASH:
a. Carry out everything you carried onto the Lease. No trash remaining is the rule!
4. GUESTS & CHILDREN:
a. GUESTS must carry a GUEST PASS STUB on their person, showing they are registered on the Lease Sign-In Sheet for that day.
b. A Member’s child 15 and under may fly fish for free. The child counts as your one Guest for the day, and the child must be registered on the Sign-In Sheet. Children must use a fly fish rig and barbless artificial bait without treble hooks.
5. PETS:
a. NO PETS are allowed on THCFF lease properties; ADA Service Animals with ID Only.
6. TRESPASSING, POACHING, and SURVEILLANCE:
a. Poaching is the illegal hunting or capturing of wild animals, usually associated with land use rights. The Trout found on THCFF Leases is for the exclusive use of THCFF. Only landowners, THCFF leaseholders, and sponsored guests can access or fish the THCFF Leases.
b. If you are approached by someone who asks to see your WRISTBAND, you must show them your band, showing you belong there, or you risk being reported to authorities.
c. If you encounter a lease violator, do not get into an altercation.
d. Report problems by photographing the situation with your mobile phone and emailing the photo, location, date & time to TROUTLEASE@THCFF.ORG. Alternatively, text the photo and info to 2106090225. The THCFF Fish Manager will take up the matter with the County Sheriff or State Game Warden and Land Owner.
e. Surveillance Cameras will be used to document unauthorized activity.
